Meet the Business Owner: Nathan Crisfield from Peakshape

AlburyCBD: Tell us a little about yourself. What’s something about you people might not know?

Nathan: I’m Nathan, and I’m 35. Outside of running Peakshape, I also drive trucks interstate on weekends. Not everyone knows this, but I spent 10 years battling addiction and 10 months in prison. It’s a big part of what shaped who I am and why I do what I do today.

AlburyCBD: Tell us about Peakshape. What’s your why, and what do you love about running your business?

Nathan: Peakshape is a small group training facility, and our main goal is to give people the tools, support, and coaching to transform their lives. My “why” comes from my own past—living without purpose took a toll on my physical, mental, and hormonal health. What I love most now is meeting people where they’re at and helping them rebuild through simple, practical changes. If someone feels broken or burnt out, I want to help them see what’s possible.

AlburyCBD: What’s a challenge you’ve had to overcome in business?

Nathan: The biggest challenge for me has been balancing it all—growing the business and the team while still driving trucks every weekend. It’s a lot of work, but I do it to keep our dream and vision alive.

AlburyCBD: What would you be doing if you weren’t running Peakshape?

Nathan: I’ve thought about this a lot. If I wasn’t running Peakshape, I’d be running life coaching sessions for people who are where I once was. I want to help others who feel stuck or lost find their way forward.

AlburyCBD: What do you love about being in the Albury CBD?

Nathan: I really value being close to other businesses for collaboration. We already work with two other local businesses to support our members. The more we work together, the stronger our community becomes.
