Hello School Holidays! If you’re needing some inspiration on fun things to do with your family this school holidays, we’ve got you covered! Rain, hail or shine, Albury has a great selection of fun family businesses to keep you and the kids busy and entertained.
Intencity
Classic video games may be a creation of the past, but they are still as fun and current today! If you haven’t visited Intencity yet, what are you waiting for?! They provide the best experience for all customers, in a safe and family-friendly environment.
As you walk in, you’ll be amazed by the selection of classic & contemporary video games, car racing simulators, plush machines, air hockey and more in this indoor arcade. All gamified by collecting prizes with your tickets and winnings. If you’re lucky enough to have your birthday during the school holidays, they also do great party and group packages, that include game play, pre-loaded tickets, party invites and party showbags.
So, get the family or friends together for some healthy, old-school arcade competition, and have the best time indoor, competing for the best prizes!
Regent Cinemas
Be transported into a different world at Regent Cinemas this school holidays. Have a movie date with your family and choose from one of the incredible family-friendly films currently playing in the newly-refurbished cinema.
From Cranston Academy, where a 15-year-old student accidently opens a portal of monsters, to Cruella, the origin story of one of Disney’s favourite villains, you will be spoilt for choice.
Our favourite’s playing now include the incredible Spirit Untamed, where Lucky befriends a wild mustang named Spirit, and the long-awaited sequel to the 90s classic Space Jam; Space Jam: A New Legacy.
With a line up like the above, you might need to return for a few movie sessions across the school holidays! Make sure you book in advance, and don’t forget your fresh buttery popcorn and bubbly drink!
Good Games
Is there anything better than sitting around the dining room table with your family and playing one of your favourite board games? It’s always fun, slightly competitive and a great way to spend time together on the colder winter days.
You won’t be lost for choice at Albury’s favourite game store, Good Games, where the walls are stockpiled high with different gaming options. You can’t go past crowd favourite, Uno, but why not mix it up with Uno Flip or Uno Stacko? Or get a little bit too enthusiastic with Spot It, a simple pattern game that is perfect for all ages.
Or if you’re into classic board games, try out Cluedo Junior and guess ‘who did it’, or Munchkin Harry Potter and prove your mettle against the other wizard players.
See the range for yourself – pop in store and pick out a favourite and something new, you won’t regret it! What’s your favourite board games to play with your family?
Who What Why
Toy stores are truly one of the best things about being a child, or as an adult the joy seeing your child’s face light up as they walk into a room full
of toys is the best! That’s why we love Albury’s toy store, Who What Why.
There are plenty of options for all kids interests, from magic watercolour sets, to puzzles, dig a dinosaur kits, scooters and more, you won’t leave empty handed. Who What Why also has a large range of outdoor toys, which are highly useful on those days stuck at home. Try out grip ball, Kubb, or even a kids t-ball set; it’s an investment for many school holidays to come!
Who What Why also have a range of educational toys that are perfect for keeping those young minds in shape over the holidays. Try out a kid’s circuit lab, learn how magnet’s work or even make your own volcano! Who said learning wasn’t fun?!
Modern Boba
A stroll through City Walk Arcade isn’t complete without a visit to Modern Boba. We are so lucky to have a dedicated bubble tea and candy store in Albury!
Modern Boba have all the crowd favourites, incredible Wizz Fizz, Nerds, Sours and more, along with modern lollies like Wonka Chocolate Bars and Dr Pepper drinks. If you haven’t tried their special Bubble Tea yet, make sure you ask one of the friendly staff members their recommendation and enjoy. We are also slightly obsessed with their Birthday Cake flavour Dippin’ Dots – just way too yummy and even worth having on a cold winter’s day!
Take the family to pick out their favourite treats – what a sweet ending to a family day out.
