AlburyCBD committee movements.

We thank Amanda Ward for her service as Chair, her leadership has been instrumental to CBD’s success. We look forward to her continuing as a valued CBD committee member.

In her own words, Amanda recently shared a heartfelt thank you acknowledging her time with us.

“After four years with AlburyCBD, including the past two as Chair, and two years on the Board of Albury Business Connect, including the past year as Treasurer, I’ve made the decision to step down from both roles.” shared Amanda.

“It’s been an absolute privilege to work alongside so many passionate people who genuinely care about our local business community.”

“From the Legacy Mural Project and initiatives bringing vibrancy to our CBD, to strengthening business connections, supporting local businesses and advocating for our region, I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together. But more than anything, it’s the people, friendships and relationships I’ve built along the way that I’ll treasure most.”

“As a business owner, I’ve always believed in giving back to the community that supports us. I’ve never been one to shy away from taking on more, saying yes to opportunities or putting my hand up when something needs doing.”

“A heartfelt thank you to my fellow committee and board members, the incredible teams behind both organisations and everyone who has supported me over the years.

I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together and look forward to watching both organisations continue to grow and thrive.”

After many years of service, we also thank long-standing committee members Sharon Porter, Ian Wittingslow and Ross Evans as they conclude their time with us, knowing their passion for the community will keep them advocating for local business.

We welcome Imalka Maddumapatabendi as the newly appointed AlburyCBD Chair. As General Manager of Mantra Albury, he has also served on the leadership of the sub-committee, helping to guide promotional campaigns, support local businesses, and drive the economic heartbeat of the Albury City centre.
