Travel plans canceled? No problem – enjoy a holiday here at home!
We may not be able to go on our original travel plans, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t still get cosy this August at some of our amazing local accommodation options.
We even have some amazing Albury CBD accommodation options that accept our AlburyCBD Gift Cards, which means that you can either give or receive the gift of a staycation right in the heart of our beautiful city – yes please!
We are talking a girl’s weekend, celebrating a special milestone, some time out on your own or a romantic couple’s weekend, whatever tickles your fancy. Or, if you know someone that needs a pick-me-up, why not gift them an AlburyCBD Gift Card to go towards their very own staycation? You’ll be getting all the brownie points, trust us.
So, pop the champagne and book your staycation today!
Mercure (accepts AlburyCBD Gift Cards)
The Mercure Albury Hotel offers locals a funky, boutique style accommodation with recently refreshed interior and friendly customer service. We personally are eyeing off their Deluxe Suite Queen that comes with a spa… perfect for this Winter weather. Make the most of the mini-bar or order in from their brand-new restaurant – FABRIC.
FABRIC brings plenty of local produce to you, from local craft Bridge Road Brewer Beers to delicious Cofield Wines, then Milawa Cheese and of course, Borella Butchery’s gold medal bacon! For dinner, we recommend their Southern Fried Cauliflower Bites, Seafood Linguine and Vanilla Bean Panna Cotta – delicious!
The Mercure is also a short walk from Albury CBD, where you can explore local culture through the large range of bars and café, the Botanic Gardens, Murray Art Museum Albury and experience live music & events at the Albury Convention Centre and SS&A.
To be honest, you may be rolling home from your staycation!
Circa 1928 (accepts AlburyCBD Gift Cards)
If you’re wanting next-level luxury, you’re in the right place. You’ll feel like you’re staying abroad in Paris when you step foot in the Circa 1928 lobby, with its iconic columns and grand entrance. We can imagine staying here for a special anniversary, or a pamper trip with the girls.
CIRCA 1928 doesn’t just provide accommodation, it also comes with a range of inclusions such as health-oriented breakfasts, an in-suite mini bar, evening night-caps, luxury bathroom amenities and much more.
Not only that, but we really don’t think you’ll need to leave the hotel during your stay, as the suites are full of everything you’ll need, and the in-house spa provides a range of relaxing, energising and restorative treatments.
Girls weekend anyone?
Quest Albury (accepts AlburyCBD Gift Cards)
Quest hotels are a favourite hotel chain for any seasoned traveller, and for good reason! With their serviced apartment style rooms, they offer any guests (local or travellers) the ability to relax in comfort.
Quest Albury is located so close to Albury CBD that you can smell the coffee and food in the air from the amazing selection of breakfast cafes within walking distance. Our favourite being the popular 2640 Restaurant and Bar that is conveniently located underneath Quest Albury. Their breakfast menu boosts a range of delicious items, including Mushroom Crostini, Banana Waffles and of course, Smashed Avocado.
If you’re wanting to make a weekend of it, we recommend booking in for a treatment at Endota Spa, and then walking down to one of the many amazing restaurant choices – no need to book a taxi back when you can walk back and get into one of the comfortable queen-sized beds in your room.
See you in the lobby!
Albury Regent Motel
Located in the heart of Albury, the Regent Motel offers locals quality, affordable and newly refurbished rooms to anyone looking for a staycation.
Albury Regent Motel is located right next to one of Albury’s popular café spots, Mr Benedict, which like its name suggest, serves up the towns best range of benedict breakfast options. They have an all-day menu, which means there will be no judgement if you end up having their pancakes for lunch, or even a Mimosa with your breakfast!
Or, we highly recommend grabbing your lunch to go and walking across the road to the gorgeous Botanic Gardens for a lunch time picnic. Sit underneath one of the many incredible trees, get grounded and fill your belly with deliciousness.
Your taste buds will thank you!
Commodore Motel Albury
Do you want to roll out of a ridiculously comfortable bed and straight into a café where you’ll have your caffeine fix waiting for you? You’ve come to the right place!
The Commodore Motel Albury has recently refurbished 3 of its rooms, which means that they are the perfect spot for a little weekend (or weekday!) staycation. They are also located behind town-favourite, The Elms Café which we promise you has some of the best coffee in town.
The Commodore Motel is also a great place to stay if you’re booked in for some entertainment at the Albury Entertainment Centre, as this spot, and QEII are in walking distance. We recommend booking in some tickets to the upcoming performances of Queen Tribute band, or The Fleetwood Mac Show, both guaranteed to have you singing along to crowd favourites all the way back to your room.
