At Indigo Power our purpose is to enable a society that is powered by 100% renewable energy, in a way that supports and empowers communities. We are a community owned social enterprise electricity retailer and project management services in the renewable sector.
Our Electricity Retail team sells renewable electricity to Regional Victoria and Regional NSW customers. We do this by creating Community energy hubs that share local renewable energy generation, storage and energy sharing technology, giving our communities control over their energy future. Energy hubs promote clean energy cooperation across the whole community, with energy transferred from those who have it, to those who need it. Our electricity is carbon neutral and we have been rated by Greenpeace Australia's Green Electricity Guide as one of the greenest electricity providers in the country.
As a Social Enterprise, community engagement is at the core of everything we do. We facilitate information sharing to communities through our Community Energy Network forum. To help Community Groups on their renewable journey we have developed a simple six step blueprint as the roadmap for them to follow. We attend their community meetings, events and promote their wins.
Our Project Management team deliver real impactful projects to regional communities. We build Australia's first community-owned battery and Electric Vehicle Charger in Yackandandah, Victoria. Other projects include Energy resilience to secure emergency power supply in the Upper Murray region of Victoria and Tumbarumba in NSW with >30 energy node systems, 3 community batteries and >80 super efficient heat pumps. We have also installed a Traditional Owner financed solar power system at the DEECA Broadford office. Our community battery installation experience has positioned us well to help communities access current government funds for community batteries. We are industry leaders and are developing innovative renewable technologies such as pumped hydro.
